Zaffiro EVO Review

I'm a long time Vittoria customer and quite happy. Saw that the new Zaffiro EVO came out and wanted to try it.

Have about 400 miles on it and quite pleased with them. Very little wear is apparent and no flats!

Kind of weak

The puncture really quick. The first day the tires arrived I installed them on my bike and went for an afternoon ride, and I stopped at a cafe and 15 minutes later I saw my rear tire flat. It seem like a rock cut through the side wall of the tire. Overall they are good.

I got a laceration across entire tire

I got a laceration across entire tire. Unfortunately, this is first tire in my life that had such a damage and barely lasted 2 months.

I tried to use this tire instead of "Vittoria Rubino Pro Control IV Graphene 2.0 - (700x28c)" and it was great disappointment. I wish Vittoria didn't discontinue those because they were absolutely optimal for Massachusetts roads.

The tire is slower, feels heavier, it is prone to failure, the sidewall feels thin.
Also, it looks a bit smaller on the rim, more like 25c over 28c.
