Strade Bianche Won on Vittoria Corsa Control

Tiesj Benoot, riding for the Vittoria sponsored team, Lotto-Soudal has won Strade Bianche after an impressive and hard-fought race.

The 24-year old took the victory using Vittoria’s Corsa Control tires. It was Benoot’s first professional win, on a day where weather conditions were far from ideal with muddy and slippery roads.

Vittoria introduced the Corsa Control towards the end of 2017 and it has quickly grown to become one of the most popular tires in the competitive circuit, especially for those classics with harsh conditions.

The Corsa Control sees many of the same characteristics as the well-known Corsa but differs in its performance on greasy cobbles and rough roads, much like Strade Bianche and the Tirreno-Adriatico. With longer wear for better mileage and increased puncture resistance, the Corsa Control has become one of the world’s best bicycle tires.

Benoot on his victory: “I had a super day. It was cold and it rained, but I never had problems with that kind of weather. The Strade Bianche is one of my favourite races and one of the races that suits me best. Only strong riders have won this race and it’s wonderful to see my name among them! I always kept believing in myself and I knew this victory would come one day.”
