Another year of races is coming to an end. 2019 will be remembered for long thanks to the thrilling moments and successes that riders on #VittoriaTires gave us!
Let’s start with one guy in particular: Primoz Roglic. The Slovenian from Jumbo – Visma Team rode at his fullest this year winning the general classification at the UAE Tour, at the Tour de Romandie, at the Tirreno-Adriatico and, the last but certainly not the least, at the Vuelta a Espana. Primoz’s amazing wins proved #VittoriaCorsa GRAPHENE 2.0 high speed and reliability, especially considering that all these races are characterised by different weather conditions and asphalt conditions.
The Corsa took another great rider to the top of a major tour this year. The cycling star Mathieu Van der Poel got his hands on the Tour of Britain thanks to his amazing riding skills and performances. The 24-year-old Dutchman from Corendon Team is also the 2019 world cyclocross champion… so, what can we expect from him for 2020?
Riders on Vittoria tires collected numerous medals at World Championships and European championships. The cycling category bringing more victories was track. #VittoriaPista collected 29 medals across all disciplines thanks to the great performances of the riders from France, Great Britain, Italy, Denmark, Spain, Portugal and Ireland that chose to ride on Vittoria. Moreover, on 2019 #VittoriaPistaSpeed set the individual pursuit World Record twice with Ashton Lambie and Filippo Ganna, and it also set the Hour World Record with Victor Campenaerts from Lotto Soudal team.
Within the mountain bike world, Filippo Colombo won the XC Swiss Champion title at the Profixx Swiss Bike Cup and the XC U23 World Champion title at the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup. The Swiss from BMC MTB Racing Team performed amazingly this season, taking #VittoriaMezcal and #VittoriaPeyote tires beyond their limits. Next year, Filippo will race in the Elite category and we really hope he can replicate the fantastic results achieved on 2019!
#VittoriaMezcal were also the tires used by Marco Rebagliati, the winner of the Hero Dolomites XC Marathon. The Italian rider from Wilier 7C Force conquered the most gruelling and fascinating XC marathon in Europe, proving the durability and reliability of Vittoria 4-compounds MTB tires even in the most difficult riding conditions.
With all these successes, we’re already looking forward to the start of 2020 cycling season. In the meantime, we wish all Vittoria riders all the best for the new year!
