Mancebo the King of Utah
Following a monstrous effort on yesterday’s “queen stage” at the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah which comfortably preserved his overall lead, Rock Racing’s Francisco Mancebo sealed the victory after today’s fifth and final stage. Mancebo maintained a 46 second advantage over second place finisher Darren Lill of Team Type 1.
Rock Racing leaves Utah as the top team, owning spots on the podium for three of five stages including a dramatic Stage 1 win that saw Mancebo and teammate Oscar Sevilla ride to victory in a 1-2 solo Rock Racing finish.
Mancebo’s win is Rock Racing’s 32nd of the year to go along with 67 podium (top three) placings!

Emma Pooley (Cervélo TestTeam) won the GP de Plouay-Bretagne
Emma Pooley won her second World Cup round of 2009 in her trademark solo style after escaping the clutches of the other favourites just after halfway through the 114.6-kilometre race. The Olympic time trial silver medallist once again displayed the climbing prowess and strength that earned her that second place in Beijing last summer - as well as the Montreal World Cup in May this year - to finish two and a half minutes clear of a chasing group that contained most of the day's favourites.

Simon Gerrans wins GP Ouest France
Following Emma Pooley's victory in Plouay on saturday, Cervélo TestTeam swept this weekend's GP Plouay races when Simon Gerrans made it two yesterday by winning the GP Ouest France (229.2 km), besting the seven man breakaway in the finale's sprint with the peloton close behind. Pierrick Fedrigo (BBox Bouygues Telecom) placed second and Paul Martens (Rabobank) took third spot.
