Tour du Limusin: the entire podium for Vittoria!

The first of the four stage Tour du Limousin took place yesterday in very hot weather over a 159.6 km course from Limoges to Ussel (France). The up and down course kept the peloton together for most of the race with the 5 km sprint at the end determining today's winner: Borut Bozic (Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team). Xavier Florencio (Cervélo TestTeam) finished second and Paul Martens (Rabobank) took third.
The entire podium run on our Corsa EVO CX!
"This victory makes me very happy. I need to thank the entire team which led me out perfectly, especially [Björn] Leukemans," said Bozic. "When I saw the finish with one circuit to go [in Ussel] I thought it was too hard for me but my teammates asked me to make the sprint. I was pleasantly surprised by their incredible work in the last five kilometers."
Bozic's victory in the 159.6-kilometre stage into Ussel also put the Slovenian in the tour's first leader's jersey!
Tomorrow's stage (186.6 km) from Eymoutiers to Felletin will be ridden on beautiful roads through the heart of the Millevaches National Park. It is also the first time these two cities have been involved in the 42 years of the Tour du Limousin. The beginning of the stage is expected to be rather quiet while the last 40 km are the most difficult especially the final circuit around Felletin. The decisive points tomorrow will be at Cote de Montouiller at the 147 km mark and La Cote Nouaille at the 167 km point.

2009 Prague ETU Long Distance Triathlon European Championships

After a week of summer break, here we are with a great news!
The ETU Long Distance Triathlon European Championships took place in Prague, Sept. the 8th and our sponsored athlete Edith Niederfriniger took an excellent second place racing with tri-specific Vittoria tubulars Triathlon Evo CS!
"I am very happy about my second place at the European Championships! The Spanish winner, Virginia Berasategui, was too strong, but I battled hard with the other athletes for the other positions on the podium and only in the last run kilometers I could win the opponents. Now I know I am competitive in all the three disciplines and this gave me trust for the next challenge: the Ironman Hawaii.
After the victory in 2003 and the third place in 2006...I miss only the second European place and now I got the silver medal!"
Many compliments Edith!
