A stage for younger cyclist!

The tomorrow stage (Seravezza – Sestri Levante) will be very difficult as it is a mixed one with a long flat start that will become more steeply when it goes on the Ligurian Apennines. Thanks to its characteristics, we will see a “fuga” composed by 8/9 cyclists.

Pietro Algeri predicts a stage in which young cyclists will have free field, because of the mixed path that needs strong technical qualities and skills. He forecasts the victory of Fabio Felline (Androni Giocattoli) on Diego Ulissi (Lampre), both young talents.

We have to watch the stage if we want to discover the winner. Come to the Vittoria bus, we have a nice present for you!

The “climber” cyclist of team Katusha is emerging from the mass of cyclist at the 2012 Giro edition: his excellent placement on the mountain stages are a demonstration of his good physical condition and of how he is ready to tackle the most exciting and hard stages in the second part of the Giro.

Our team manager Pietro Algeri, during his first prediction in Herning, warned us about the potentiality of this athlete: assuming good placements in all the mountain stages, Rodriguez could earn precious seconds and even get a place on the podium of the 2012 Giro.

Assisi-Montecatini Terme: A wild challenge on the final sprint!

Stage ended with great emotions!
Rodriguez from Katusha Team arrived first at the finish line in Assisi, acclaimed by a multitude of people. He also obtained the pink jersey!
The recent victories of this cyclist are a demonstration of his excellent form and they confirm Pietro Algeri’s first prediction in Herning. We have to keep our eyes on him, he may prove to be the winner of this 2012 edition!
The tomorrow stage, Assisi-Montecatini Terme is expected to be played by the great sprinter because of a downhill arrival in the Tuscan city. Pietro Algeri predicts a wild challenge on the final sprint in which Matthew Goss from Greenedge will prevail over Francisco Ventoso from Movistar Team.

From the sea to the hill: Civitavecchia – Assisi

Tomorrow Stage 10, Civitavecchia – Assisi will be more insidious and less flat than the today stage, ended right now. The stage will bring the caravan from the sea to the Umbrian inland, passing through the wonderful Italian countryside, with the finish line in the center of the ancient city of Assisi. We are talking about 187Km with 2 high climbs that will challenge the best cyclist of the Giro.
Who will be on the podium? Pietro Algeri’s predictions are on Joaquin Rodriguez from Katusha Team and the Italian Michele Scarponi from Lampre.

Domenico Pozzovivo, our pride!

Domenico Pozzovivo, great athlete of Colnago-CSF Bardiani, won the highest rank of the podium during the 8th stage of the Giro d’Italia 2012.
Sulmona – Lago Laceno, 229km up and down, hills and mountains, which have not slowed the rush of the cyclist: arrived first at the last GPM of the stage, he had open field till the finish line, arriving with great detachment from the other cyclists.
Vittoria is very proud and honored to sponsor such a big champion, able to amazing victory, always with Vittoria Open Corsa Evo CX!

Pozzovivo from Colnago CSF team finished the stage and achieved the first placement on the podium in Lago Laceno, mputting his wheels with Corsa Evo CX in fromt of all.

The win made his Team Manager Reverberi very happy, as every day he push his guys, the young riders for the future that already choose the best tires to ride!

Tomorrow a flat stage and not so exciting, but good for sprinters like the english man world champion from team Sky Mark Cavendish and Matthew Goss from Greenedge.

After the first week of the Giro…

Stage 7 finished today at 17.30 in Rocca di Cambio: the first arrival in ascent for the Giro where Paolo Tiralongo, Astana Team, won! (he usually trains on mountains in Bergamo).

Our technical assistance has been showed by the RAI channel on TV! Our mechanic Paolo adjusted the chain on the bike of a rider from Farnese Vini Selle Italia!

The first week of the Giro finished in this way: tomorrow we’ll start from Sulmona and we’ll arrive in Lago Lacen after 229km..

Joaquin Rodriguez (Katusha) and Andy Schleck (Radioshack) are the 2 riders selected by Pietro to win.
Also Riccardo agree on Schleck! Tomorrow we will have the proof!

Damiano Cunego, a sprinter for the podium!

Intense day today for our Vittoria Servizio Corse Team: Nicola and Albino made a double wheel change in one stop for 2 different riders.
Great job guys!

Damiano Cunego was not the winner today, as Pietro told yesterday, but he worked hard for his team Lampre-ISD, and Adriano Malori conquered the pink jersey.

Small party tonight as tomorrow the race will start early: 205 km from Recanati to Rocca di Cambio.
Who will be the first rider that will cross the finishline according to Pietro?
Our team manager forecasts again the podium for Damiano, a sprinter man who can stay in front of the big riders in the mountains.
Kreuziger and Gasparotto, both from the Astana team, can compete with him on the final part.

All our best to all the cyclists!

Ready for Urbino-Porto Sant’Elpidio!

Stage number 5 finished today in Pesaro in sunny conditions.
An easy stage at the beginning, but difficulties raise in the final part, where our world champion Riccardo made the first assistance by Vittoria Servizio Corse in a downhill section, changing a wheel for a puncture to Favilli from Farnese Vini Selle Italia: a good job done by our mechanic and the rider recovered quickly back into the goup.

Tomorrow a difficult stage: 210 km Urbino-Porto Sant’Elpidio.
Pietro predicts in the closing moments of the stage a group of 35/50 riders where Damiano Cunego (Lampre) and Giovanni Visconti (Movistar) can raise.

In order to have the best place for visibility of our hospitality bus, Alberto has already placed it tonight at the start area: we will see you there!
